Simple Joys for Hues to Use

As soon as I saw the current Hues to Use colors over at Power Poppy I knew I wanted to use the Simple Joys set. I've been eyeing that set forever, I just love it, but I had to wait for it arrive and it came in the mail Friday night. My best friend moved down to FL early Sat morning so I didn't break out any stamps until Sunday night but I really wanted to get this card done before the new colors get posted!

I'm not a fan of pink but one of my closest friends is a total pink lover so I knew that I'd be using these colors to make her Christmas card for this year! The browns were easy for me, I love earth tones and so I incorporated  them by coloring the can with the light browns and just a touch of dark brown. I brought the dark brown in on the branches,  the ball of yarn and with the polka dot ribbon I put across the center of the card The pink was brought in on the ornaments, the bow on the package and the patterned paper.

Thanks for stopping by!
