Joyful Wishes for LMMS

Happy Thursday! It's Inspiration Week over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today I'm using one of my new favorite digital stamps, Holiday Truck. I am SUCH an old fashioned girl when it comes to Christmas and this image totally makes me think of Christmas in a small town...I can just picture the driver waving to everyone as he drives through town square, everyone calling out his name and wishing him a Merry Christmas. It reminds me of growing up in New England and the Christmases we had when I was young, everyone in the neighborhood knew everyone. I'm such a sap, I know!

I colored in the image with copics and then I used some retired DSP from SU to create my card. The base is Soft Suede (not retired), which was a perfect match for how I colored the truck. I then used some dies to create my scallop borders, heat embossing the sentiment on one of the borders. I thought it still needed a little more visual appeal so I took my white gel pen and added the white dots on the scallops and around the truck.

Don't forget, our Anything Goes challenge is still open so head on over to the blog and play along with us!

Hello, My Pretty

I've been wanting to play along with the sketch over at The Paper Players so today I made time to be in my craft room and get a card done. And then I stood in my craft room, just staring at my desk, watching the leaves fall out the window, I played with the puppies when they came in to see me....I had zero creative mojo happening LOL I finally decided to go take my shower and get dinner going and then I popped back into the craft room and ding ding! the light bulb finally went off!

I colored up a few of these PI witch images a few weeks ago and they've just been sitting in a pile on my desk. I grabbed one and then took some patterned paper from a recent pad I got at JoAnn's and started to put it all together. Die-Namics Set 18 from MFT made it easy for me to follow the sketch, and I used a stitched circle die from them to do the circle portion of the sketch. I popped up the little witch with dimensionals, stamped out my sentiment and called it good to go :)

A Winter Outing

This card is for the current challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge blog. It's a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil and I just love it. It reminds me of when my kids were young and they would go with my husband to do various activities for Christmas. We're big Christmas decorators so hubby usually had the kids helping haul lights and decorations all over the yard :)

The Merry Christmas Challenge still has a few weeks to go with the current challenge so head on over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

Country Christmas for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! We've got a brand new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this time it's a sketch brought to you by me!

For my card I pulled out one of my favorite Power Poppy stamps, Simple Joys. I just adore these branches adorned with ornaments that are placed in a vintage watering can. If I didn't have dogs, and a cat, that would turn decorations like that into a play toy then I would so decorate my house like that!

I kept the colors very traditional, using red and green with just a touch of brown and gray. I used scalloped dies from MFT to cut out my patterned paper, using it on all the layers to keep things looking uniform.

Make sure and head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see how you interpret the sketch!

So Grateful for Power Poppy

This week over at the Power Poppy blog the Creative Confetti Challenge is all about pumpkin spice...we're to create a project with a spicy color scheme or use one of Power Poppy's "spicy" stamp sets.

I know that pumpkin spice is super popular, my FB feed is constantly filled with mention of it, but I am not into anything related to that at all. I love decorating with pumpkins and that's as far as my love goes LOL My BFF was visiting me from FL for 2 weeks and she grabbed some pumpkin spice oatmeal packets for breakfast. I looked at her and said "can you get any more basic white girl?" LOL

I decided to use the clear set So Grateful, as I love the pumpkin on the chair and the other flowers in and around the pumpkin. For my patterned papers I tried to use colors that conveyed "pumpkin spice".

Thanks for stopping by!

Witchy Greetings for LMMS

It's time for a new challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog, plus there are new images being released today! I am SO excited about the new images and was really torn about what to use, but since Halloween is a little over a month away I decided to go with the new Halloween image.

The new image is called Jr Hatter Agnes and she is just too cute! I colored her with copics and then I grabbed a pad of paper that I got from JoAnn's over the weekend, it's from DCWV and has some seriously awesome Halloween patterns in it. I grabbed 2 papers from the pad that made it super easy to have the image front and center on the card. The purple frame was cut from a 12x12 sheet that has other frames and sayings on it, I cut this frame out and adhered it to the green spiderweb paper and then popped up Agnes with some dimensionals. I wanted the colors and image on the front of the card to be the main focus so I decided to keep a sentiment off the front and to put one inside the card if needed/wanted.

Make sure you head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store to check out the 3 images being released today and then grab one and come play along in our Anything Goes Challenge

Too Cute to Spook for LMMS

It's Inspiration Week over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this week I'm using the Swing N Slides Lil Spook image again, I just love him!

I wanted to keep the card pretty simple so I created a white card base and then used a retired set from Stampin Up to create the colored splotches for the background. I pulled the colors right from the Lil Spook image. I stamped the sentiment in black and then popped up the image to the right of the sentiment. Easy peasy for a quick and cute Halloween card!

Don't forget, the Anything Goes Challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog is still open so head on over there and play along with us!

Love You to Pieces for Sunday Stamps

I'm super late with my Sunday Stamps post, but it's been crazy around my place. My youngest moved down to the Lower 48 on Sept.7 and to help push away my sorrow my best friend, who is up here visiting from FL, and I went camping up at Denali National Park. We had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect and the fall colors were stunning! We didn't see as many animals as we would have liked but that's ok.

This week at Sunday Stamps we have a color challenge for everyone. I hemmed and hawed over these colors and finally decided to use the SU set Love You to Pieces for my card. I used the coordinating dies to cut out pieces in 3 of the colors and then I cut out the larger ones with the sentiments and positioned those on the patterned paper background. I'm going to be slipping this card into my friends luggage before she leaves on the 16th!

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see how you use these colors!

Happy Halloween for LMMS

It's Thursday and you know what that means, Little Miss Muffet Stamps goodies! This week I am using one of my favorite Halloween images, Polka Dot Pals Hauntly. How fun is she? I love the spiderweb on her dress and the bats around her head! She's the perfect image to use for people who like "cute" Halloween and not scary Halloween!

I used a spiderweb stamp that I picked up at my local stamp store last year to create my background. I colored my image with copics and then used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. She's popped up with dimensionals and then I tucked the sentiment under her and to the left.

Make sure you head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then join in our Anything Goes challenge, you could win $10.00 to the LMMS store! There were also 3 brand new images released today, head over HERE in the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store to check them out!
