For the current Creative Confetti Challenge Julie has a fabulous sketch! I always struggle with layouts so I get so excited when I see a good sketch posted!
I had this pansy image (only $2.49 in the shop right now!) partially colored and sitting on my desk so I grabbed my copics and finished coloring it so I could use it for this challenge. Purple and yellow pansies are my favorite, I think they are so pretty!
I grabbed some purple and yellow paper from my stash and put those on a dark purple card base and then I embossed a strip of white paper with an argyle pattern, stamping the sentiment in purple before embossing. I added the purple ribbon across the bottom of the panel and then popped up the pansy image over the panel.
There is still time to play along with all of April’s Creative Confetti Challenges so head on over to the blog and check them out! Every time you play along that’s a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to the Power Poppy shop!

Happy Mother's Day
Hello everyone! It's time for some Friday Fun over at the Power Poppy blog!
Since Mother's Day is quickly approaching I decided to to create a card using the digital stamp Springtime Love Roundel (and it's currently on sale for $2.99!). I just love this image and the fun mix of flowers in it. The set comes with several sentiments you can use for Mother's Day or you can do what I did and use the premade image with the sentiment already placed for you!
Are you ready to see what the rest of the team created? Head on over to their blogs and check out their awesome projects!

My Favorite in Scrubs
Happy Sunday folks! I hope everyone is doing well. I'm still trying to get used to day shift. My stamping time has definitely dwindled down....I'm so tired when I get home from work that I usually fall asleep on the couch with my dogs and then when I wake up I have to get dinner and chores done. Hopefully my body will finish adjusting to the change soon and I'll get on a good crafting schedule.
Today at Sunday Stamps we have a fun color challenge. It definitely makes one think of flowers or a beach scene but I went with a card that thanks our medical professionals on the front line of the COVID fight. My husband is one of those folks and I am so proud of him and his co-workers. They always do a spectacular job but right now, under so much stress and pressure, they are really kicking butt and taking names. This is a digital stamp from Unity Stamp Co and they do have a male version, I just haven't had time to color it up yet.
My layout comes from the current sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. It seems like forever since I was able to play along with them and I really like the sketch this week. It worked perfectly with my image!
For my card I used the 2 bottom colors of the graphic, plus the orange, although my orange on the clipboard ended up a bit darker than I wanted.
Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with these colors!

Creative Confetti Spring Blooms
Hello friends, and Happy Tuesday! As people continue to stay put and quarantine I hope everyone is doing well and are able to do things they love, like creating!
If you are on Instagram you may have seen the pictures that our fearless leader of Power Poppy, Marcella ,has been posting. My yard is still covered with over a foot of snow so I am just amazed to see all the green and wonderfully bright colors that are popping up in her gardens, it truly is a feast for the eyes! Marcy's garden photos are what inspired the colors for this challenge....a warm yellow, soft blue and a bright green.
HOW TO PLAY: It's nice and easy, just create a project using the colors in the graphic! You can use images of flowers that are spring bloomers or you can create a Christmas card with these colors, it's entirely up to you and your imagination!
On to my Creation!
I really enjoy the color yellow so I wanted to make that the main color of my image. I decided to go with the digital image Bees in Foxglove. This fabulous digital stamp is only $1.99 in the shop right now!!
I used Copic markers to color my image and my sentiment is from the clear set Natural Beauties. I just love foxglove in yellow, I usually see it in pink hues.
It's your turn to use these colors on your project! Share your creations by linking them up over on the Power Poppy blog. Every single entry will be in the running for a $25 gift card to the Power Poppy Shop!
Be safe, be well, and have some fun with this challenge!

Courageous and Amazing
Happy Friday! I hope everyone is doing well with the "new normal". I normally work nights but because schools are closed they now have everyone working days. I started this past Monday on day shift and I am wiped out! I'm used to going to bed at 4am and now I'm getting up at 5am. Hopefully my body will adjust soon.
One fabulous thing about Friday's? It's time for Friday fun over at the Power Poppy blog! I created this card for a dear friend of mine who wanted a card for one of her relatives that is an x-ray tech. I wanted to convey the feelings we all have for healthcare workers right now and 2 sets were perfect for that, M-Powering Words (and it's on SALE right now!) and Nice Things to Say.

Super Hero in Scrubs
A friend asked me to create a card for her niece, who is a nurse. I was more than happy to help out and so I went in search of a nurse stamp. I came across this image from Some Odd Girl Stamps and knew it would be perfect for what I wanted to do!
I colored the scrubs with copics and then went through my paper stash to find something that would match and this DSP from SU was perfect. The sentiment on the outside of the card is from a MFT set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You
It's time for a new Sunday Stamps challenge and this week we have a fun sketch from Annette to play along with!
With all the people that are stuck home due to quarantine or stay put orders I immediately thought of the cabin from the SU set Rustic Retreat. The set also comes with a sentiment stamp that says 'Thinking of You' so I started off by stamping the cabin and coloring it and then stamping the sentiment underneath it and die cutting it all out with a circle die. I then grabbed some Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso DSP for my background paper and layered it on an Early Espresso base. Quick and easy, just the way I like it!
Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with this sketch!

Heart Full of Daisies
Hello to Friday! I hope everyone that has to stay put at home is hanging in there and finding stuff to do. Both my husband and I have whats considered essential jobs so not much has changed around my house. I will be going to day shift next week though so that is going to screw with my body for a bit. I'm not as young as I used to be and going from nights to days doesn't come as easy as it used too!
It's time for some Friday Fun with Power Poppy! For my card I used a digital set called Follow Your Heart. It's such a wonderful set, you can get a heart of roses, hydrangea or the one I used, daisies! I wanted something easy to color but yet something I could still get a nice pop of color with. The daisies were perfect for bringing in some green and yellow yet still providing a lot of white space.
With all that's going on in the world I wanted a sentiment that would be perfect for sending to someone who may be a bit stressed out. This sentiment from the now retired set Good Thinking: Renewal was perfect for what I wanted.
I also made this card to play along with the current Creative Confetti Challenge. Julie wanted us to go digital and use a digital stamp on our project. Power Poppy has such amazing digital sets that this was an easy peasy challenge to play along with :)
Are you ready to see what the rest of the Power Poppy team came up with? It will definitely brighten your day to see what these lovely ladies created, trust me!
