Love You Forever for LMMS

It's time for Inspiration Week at LMMS and this week I'm using Polka Dot Pals Soleil, who is making the ASL sign for 'love' (arms crossed across the chest). I just love the combination of maroon and blue with a touch of gray so that's the color scheme I went with on my card.

My layout is from the current sketch at The Paper Players.

Make sure and head on over to the LMMS FB group, and don't forget you can still play along with the LMMS Anything Goes Challenge!

You've Got This

Sorry for the late Sunday Stamps post! My youngest is a senior in high school and this week has been crazy with activities! Saturday was his last day at a conference in Anchorage for BPA (Business Professionals of America) and we didn't get out of the city until well after 2pm, and we live an hour away. He had to be ready for prom at 4....needless to say it was a tight schedule but he made it and had a great night at prom. I however came home  (we went out to dinner with friends after we dropped him off with his friends) and promptly fell asleep LOL

Today at Sunday Stamps we have a color challenge to work with and anyone who has been to my blog before knows that if a color challenge involves purple I have a problem coming up with something, as I don't like the color. I'm not even going to lie, it was the same with this card and I came up with it at the last minute. I finally got my jump start using the current Freshly Made Sketches sketch. I saw it, the idea for my card popped into my head and I knew how to incorporate the purple into my card.

I love this stamp from Stampin Up. It's just so simple and has so many possibilities. I stamped the background in Pistachio Pudding and then stamped the flower image in Memento Black. On a piece of Neenah Solar White I stamped the flower portion of the stamp, colored it in with copics and then I fussy cut it out and popped the piece up with dimensionals over the flower image on the card panel. I then stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow. It ended up being a very quick card that came together in about 30 mins, after weeks of agonizing over the purple in the challenge LOL

Make sure you head over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

I used 2 of the green and 2 of the purples from the graphic, plus white as my neutral

Mama Moose and Baby

It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this week I'm using one of my favorite LMMS images, Moose Love, which is a mama moose with her calf. Here in Alaska I've been seeing moose just about everyday and I recently had one in my yard that I think may have been pregnant, her belly looked awfully full. Moose give birth in mid May to early June, so it won't be long before little ones are spotted!

I used last weeks Freshly Made Sketches sketch for my card. The DSP is retired SU autumn paper but I really liked the colors and thought they worked well with the colors of the moose.

Head on over to the LMMS blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

Thinking of You Owl-Ways

Today at the Kitty Bee Designs Blog I'm showcasing the fun image Kawaii "Ms" Owl. I just love this image because she is so versatile and you can really create a card for any occasion using this image!

I used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for my card and after coloring Ms Owl with copics I fussy cut her and popped her up with dimensionals on the panel. I used a die from MFT to create my white panel and then used the SU set Gorgeous Grunge to create the background. On my card, the larger bits of splatter to the bottom right of the owl represent the spot of the smaller butterfly on the sketch. The sentiment is from an MFT set.

You can find the Kawaii "Ms" Owl image HERE.

You're the Sweetest for LMMS

Happy Thursday! This week it's Inspiration Week at the LMMS Facebook group and today I'm highlighting another version of the Polka Dot Pal Lisa stamp. In this version she is making the ASL sign for "sweet", which is 4 fingers sweeping down from the chin. My oldest son, who is deaf, isn't a crafty guy, he'd rather watch Doctor Who or Star Trek, but even he is getting a kick out of the images using ASL!

I used some retired SU DSP for my background and then used an MFT die to create the window frame. I colored in PDP Lisa with my copic markers and then popped her up on the frame. The saying is from a SugarPea Designs set.

Make sure you head on over to the LMMS FB group to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT and then play along with us at the Anything Goes challenge, there is still time!

Banner Love for Sunday Stamps

I apologize for my late Sunday Stamps post. I've been dealing with a horrible episode of vertigo and thanks to medication I'm finally able to get up and move again. If you've never had to deal with vertigo you are very lucky, it's awful.

This weeks challenge at Sunday Stamps is a fun sketch. I went through my stash and decided to use some retired SU colors that are perfect for spring/Easter and a Simon Says Stamp that I don't think I've ever inked up before.

The sketch has a circle over the banner but don't feel like you have to use that. Change it to any shape you'd like...we just need to be able to see the sketch in your project.

Make sure to head over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

So Very Cute

It's time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and today I'm excited to showcase a brand new image. She is called Polka Dot Pals Lisa, and yes, she was named after me! How cool is that?! PDP Lisa is another image that showcases an ASL sign and this time it's the sign for "cute", which is the 2 fingers being pulled away from the chin. I love her!

I used some retired SU DSP for my card and the colors on PDP Lisa were pulled from the DSP. I love the color blue so I went with that for my dress and decided to do the big letters a shade of red with the "cute" popped up in green.

Make sure you head on over to the LMMS blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us! Don't forget to visit the LMMS store to see the new images released today!

Going Wild for LMMS

I'm late with my LMMS Inspiration post today and I apologize for that! I've been knocked down the last few days with a horrible cold and last night I stayed home from work and crashed super early! I'm still feeling icky today but hopefully being up and moving will help push this sickness away!

For today's LMMS Inspiration I created a card using Polka Dot Pals Cody. I just love this fun image! His going on a safari outfit makes me think back to childhood and exploring down by the creek in the neighborhood with all the other kids.

The sentiment is from an MFT set and the front says "Go Wild" and inside I stamped "It's Your Special Day".

Make sure to head on over to the LMMS FB group to see the inspiration from the rest of the DT and don't forget, there is still time to play along with the LMMS Anything goes Challenge also!

But wait, there's more :) Little Miss Muffet Stamps is currently holding a Guest DT member call! Follow the link to get all the details on how to apply!
