Happy Camper for Sunday Stamps

It's time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps and this week we have a color challenge. The colors made me think of a cool winters day, and from there I morphed into Valentines Day thinking and that is how I ended up with this camper card :)

We have many friends here in Alaska that spend the summer out and about in their RV's and so I just had to have this camper set from SugarPea Designs, it will come in handy for many different occasions. For this card I took some retired SU DSP and paper pieced the designs on the RV, then I used my copics to color in the rest of the areas. I used Night of Navy to stamp the sentiment on the retired Regal Rose DSP.

I'm also entering this into SugarPea Designs Anything Goes challenge....I used one of their older sketches for my layout.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and say hi to our 2 brand new design team members! Don't forget to play along with us, we'd love to see how you interpret these colors!

With Love for LMMS

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I had a very lovely one with my husband, 2 of our kids and one of our best friends. I got lots of moose stuff :)

Today starts a new Anything Goes challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog and once again I made a love themed card. I used Polka Dot Pals Heidi for my card and colored her in with red and brown copics. To create the background I used 2 Distress Oxide inks, a spray bottle and a stencil. The sentiment is from Power Poppy and I popped PDP Heidi up for some extra dimension.

With Love for LMMS

Happy Thursday! It's Inspiration Week over at LMMS and I'm switching gears to Valentines Day. I recently spotted this fun image in the LMMS store, I don't know how I missed it! It's called  Fancy Sunbonnet Love and I think it would be perfect for a sweet young girl around Valentines Day or even for a birthday!

I kept a pretty small color palette on my card, just using some reds and pinks and then some browns for the heart package. After I took the picture I did go and add some silver accents with my gel pen.

Don't forget, the Anything Goes challenge is still open over at the LMMS blog so hop on over and play along with us

Penguin Wishes

Happy Hump Day! Does everyone have everything all done for Christmas? Hubby and I went into Anchorage on Saturday and finished our Christmas shopping, and now we just have to pick up a few perishables for Christmas dinner and we are all set. It feels good to be right on track!

With it being Weds that also means that it's time for a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge blog! As always it's an Anything Goes theme, with the option of using a charm this week.

A friend of mine adores penguins and so I used an adorable penguin from SugarPea Designs to create her card. I just love this little guy all tangled up in Christmas lights! They are a military family currently in transit to a new duty station in Hawaii so this little guy will be there to greet them when they get all settled in.

A Beachy Christmas for Sunday Stamps

It's time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps and this week we have a fun sketch from Teresa to close out our challenges for 2017!

A friend of mine left Alaska to move to the Lower 48 and she loves the beach, hates the snow, so I made a beach Christmas card just for her. I know she is much happier in OR where she isn't dealing with the bipolar weather of Alaska!

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us for our last challenge of 2017!

Be A Star for LMMS

Happy Thursday! New images are being released over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps today and they are super cute! Go HERE to see the new images.

My card today showcases one of the new images, Polka Dot Pals Vega. How sweet is she? I just love the star in her hand and the stars on her dress. She is so versatile and can be used for any occasion! I decided to use her on an encouragement card and used 2 of my favorite colors on the card, blue and yellow. I also pushed myself to get out of my comfort zone and try something different with the skin and hair, so I made my Vega an African-American girl!

Make sure you head on over to the LMMS store to check out all the great new images from today and the last few weeks and don't forget, the Anything Goes challenge is still open on the blog, so play along!

A Beary Merry Christmas

It's time for a new challenge over at The Merry Christmas Challenge and as always the theme is Anything Goes. We also have an optional theme you can use, which is fun fold cards this week. I've been swamped at work and at home, 'tis the season!, so I kept my card simple this week.

I'm a huge nature love and living in Alaska I get very spoiled with our beautiful scenery and wildlife. My card this week features one of Alaska's most famous animals, the bear! As soon as I saw this paper I knew it would be perfect with a bear image! I created the sentiment by mixing and matching some sets in my stash.

Christmas Wish for Sunday Stamps

It's time for a new challenge at Sunday Stamps and this week we have a color challenge. The colors are fun winter ones but you can really go in any direction with them.

I decided to use the MFT Pure Innocence Nice List stamp. I did some paper piecing on the girl with her dress, using the same paper for the background. With my copics I colored in the rest of the girl. The layout may look familiar, I also used it on a card last week and it's the sketch from last weeks The Paper Players challenge.

Head on over to Sunday Stamps to see what the rest of the DT created with these colors and then check out our DT call! We're looking for a new team member to join us from Jan.-June 2018. All of the details are on the blog!
