Going to the Dogs

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a sketch for you! It was my turn for the sketch so I hope everyone has fun with it. Because it's the holiday season and most of us need more hours in our day I tried to keep it pretty simple!

I used a fun stamp from Mama Elephant for my card. I just love this Christmas tree of dogs! I had colored it up during the 30 Day Marker Challenge in Nov. and it was just sitting on my desk but once I spotted it I knew it would be perfect for this sketch.

I used some patterned paper from a paper pad that I got at Michael's on Black Friday. The pad has a dog and cat theme so I grabbed some of the paw print paper and then used some maroon polka dot paper for the center section. I popped up the image with some dimensionals, added some Wink of Stella to the image and called it done!

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

Natures Christmas Colors for Creative Confetti

Hello everyone! It's time for a new Creative Confetti Challenge over at the Power Poppy blog and this week I am the host!

I love Christmas and everything it has to offer but I'm pretty traditional and usually use a lot of red and green on my holiday projects. I need to push myself to break out of that mold and try different color combinations and that's how this weeks challenge came about.

For my card I used the Bough Wow Wow clear set. I just love this set and 2 the different boughs in it. I went with the bough with the ribbon and mittens on it, as that is totally something I'd have hanging on my front door!

Blue and green are actually my favorite colors, I just don't generally use them together for Christmas. For this image I decided to make the mittens blue, the ribbon gray and of course I colored the greenery with my green markers. I did add a small pop of red with the heart but you can see that blue and green are the primary colors. I also used silver Stickles on the fuzzy snow puffs to add some more gray to the mix.

Head on over to the Power Poppy blog to play along, I'd love to see what YOU do with these colors. Don't forget, the more you play along during the month the better your chances of winning a $25.00 gift card to the Power Poppy shop. With all the new images added to the shop this month you could really stock up!

Christmas Thank You

I wanted to make some thank you cards to have ready for after Christmas but between work, family and holiday activities I just haven't had the time to sit and color. I was thumbing through my Power Poppy sets when I spotted Big Scripts and this perfect thank you sentiment. After picking out some paper from my stash and choosing green as my main color the card came together super quick and I made 5 total! I love all of the detailed stamps Power Poppy has but it's also awesome to have a sentiment set for quick and easy cards!

Beary Happy Birthday

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a fun color challenge for everyone to try!

Like most people this time of year I don't seem to have enough time in the day to accomplish everything I need to do so when I was working on this card I wanted something quick and easy that wouldn't take long to put together. I remembered seeing a similar layout on a card on Instagram (I thought I had saved it but I didn't :( ) and I had the polar bear already colored in my stash so I went to work on the rest of the card.

I die cut the white background piece and then embossed it with a SU folder. The 2 strips of paper were cut with a die from MFT and after stamping the sentiment in blue I placed the 2 scalloped pieces below that and then used dimensionals to pop the polar bear up on the left. I got 4 of the 5 colors on my card! The best part? It took me less than 30 mins to put together, wooohooo!

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with these colors!
