Got You Covered

I'm really late but I'm finally getting my post up for Sunday Stamps! My husband and I were knocked out with the norovirus last weekend and if you have ever had it before you know how absolutely miserable it is! We're still really tired but at least I'm finally feeling like myself again!

We have a fun color combo this week at Sunday Stamps, perfect for any type of card! I decided to use a free digital stamp being offered by Whimsy Stamps. It's called TP Dudley and is just perfect for the current going-on's in the world right now!

I decided to color him green with orange accents. The other day when I pulled this dragon out I asked my husband what colors I should use. My Dungeons and Dragon playing husband immediately said "red and black". I told him honey, this isn't a "I want to destroy your kingdom dragon" LOL After seeing me color Dudley with these colors and some other bright ones he agreed I had made the right choice :)

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us! If you are on a stay put or quarantine order now is the perfect time to join in some challenges :)

Reely Great Day

My friend Claire is the host this week over at The Paper Players and she has a fun sketch for everyone to play along with.

I've been playing along with The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge on Instagram and colored up this digital stamp from Power Poppy the other day. Since the oval in the sketch can be any shape I decided to use it for my card. I originally just had the white panel but I didn't like how it looked against the patterned paper so I added the chocolate backing, which made my shape go across the 2 strips a bit more than the sketch calls for.

Daffodil Hugs and a Big Sale!

It’s Friday and while I know a lot of people have had their lives turned upside down right now we’ve got some good news from Power Poppy! There is a HUGE sale starting today and trust me when I say that you won’t want to miss this. The sale applies to both clear sets and digital stamps so there is something for everybody! Head over at NOON CST to the Power Poppy shop and grab your favorite stamps!

My card today features one of clear stamps on sale, Daffodils. I love daffodils, they are such happy flowers!

I used one of the sketches from last weeks Creative Confetti challenge, although I had to alter it just a tad since I used a larger image.

Check out the wonderful creations the rest of the team came up with, and then go shop the awesome sale over at the Power Poppy shop!

Hoppy Easter

I haven't had time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches in a while but I really loved this weeks sketch so finally made some time to get a card done, even though it took me a few days to get it all together!

I used an older MFT stamp that I had in my stash and kept the coloring pretty simple. I embossed the top half of a white panel, layered the green plaid piece below the embossed section and then stamped the sentiment in orange on the bottom left. I then layered that panel on a green card base and popped up the image for the circle portion of the sketch. It's pretty sad that such a simple card took me about 3 days to get done, ugh!

There is still time to play along with this weeks sketch so head on over and check it out!

Spring in my Step

Happy Friday! I know there is a lot of craziness happening across the world right now and I hope everyone is being safe and doing what is best for their families. Maybe you can find time for a little extra crafting and forget about everything that's going on for a while!

It's time for some Friday Fun over at the Power Poppy blog so hopefully this will help brighten the day for some folks! Even though it looks nothing like spring here I decided to go with this fabulous spring image from the Va-Va-Valentines set. It gives off such a happy vibe, don't you think?

I'm also playing along with the current Creative Confetti Challenge, Julie has 2 fabulous sketches for us to try! For this card I am using the first sketch but this weekend I definitely plan on giving the second one a try. I did leave the button off the banners in the corner because I'm not much of a button fan.

Are you ready to see what the rest of the Power Poppy team came up with? It's even better than last week!! I know, I know, that's impossible you say but I swear it's true! Head on over to their blogs and you will see the incredible cards these ladies have created! (Look at all the exclamation points I used, you know it all must be amazing!)

Psssssttttt....a little birdie told me there is going to be a HUGE sale going on in the Power Poppy shop at the end of next week...keep your eyes open for some amazing deals!!

Fathers Day in Green

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend so far. Mine has been awesome...we've gotten about a foot of new snow since Fri night and it's still falling. This coming week is spring break for the school district I work for so the big snowfall is perfect timing!

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a fun sketch from Heather!

For my card I switched things up just a tad...I switched the spots for the sentiment and the circle portion of the sketch and since I went for a masculine card I left the ribbon off and instead used a strip of DSP and then added the gears going down across under the sentiment and car. Once again I used my 2 favorite colors, blue and green.

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see how you interpret the sketch!

Friday Fun Hops

Happy Friday! I'm so glad the weekend is finally here. Between a disruption in my sleep schedule this week and some medical issues I am exhausted! I can't wait to catch up on sleep and spend most of the weekend in my Olaf onsie jammas....yep, I proudly wear those!

Another great thing about Friday? It's time for Friday Fun at the Power Poppy blog! You will be blown away by the talent on the blog this week, I mean seriously, these gals are A-MA-ZING!

For my card I used an image I colored the other day as part of The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge on Instagram. The image is from the digital set Hops and Barley but you can also buy a clear set with this image, that one is called O Hoppy Day. I'm not a beer drinker but I know a lot of them and this set is perfect for so many occasions.

One thing I really love about this image is that I can use earth tones to color it, my favorite hues to use. It was really relaxing to color all the green shades on this card! I'm a firm believer that one can never have too much green on their project :)

Are you ready to see what the rest of the team created? Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

Hoppy Easter

A new The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge has started up and so I'm joining in the fun once again. I take part in it on Instagram and really love seeing all of the different projects people post and getting to meet so many kind folks!

Yesterday was Day 1 and I created these cards using a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil. Nice and easy, which was perfect since I spent most of the weekend outside enjoying the new foot of snow we got!

Thanks for stopping by!
