Hoppy Easter

I haven't had time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches in a while but I really loved this weeks sketch so finally made some time to get a card done, even though it took me a few days to get it all together!

I used an older MFT stamp that I had in my stash and kept the coloring pretty simple. I embossed the top half of a white panel, layered the green plaid piece below the embossed section and then stamped the sentiment in orange on the bottom left. I then layered that panel on a green card base and popped up the image for the circle portion of the sketch. It's pretty sad that such a simple card took me about 3 days to get done, ugh!

There is still time to play along with this weeks sketch so head on over and check it out!

Hoppy Easter

A new The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge has started up and so I'm joining in the fun once again. I take part in it on Instagram and really love seeing all of the different projects people post and getting to meet so many kind folks!

Yesterday was Day 1 and I created these cards using a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil. Nice and easy, which was perfect since I spent most of the weekend outside enjoying the new foot of snow we got!

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Wishes

I have a ton of colored images just laying around my craft desk and this weeks sketch over at The Paper Players was the perfect excuse to start getting in gear and making cards with them!

For this card I grabbed this MFT Pure Innocence image called I'm All Ears. I paper pieced the dress, using the same paper I used for the background. To break the background into 3 sections I used some pink polka dot patterned paper across the middle section.

Easter Hues

A big thank you to those who played along with the 200th Challenge at Sunday Stamps, we're happy to have the support!

All the DT members picked a winner from the comments left on their blogs and my winner was Chris Smith. Chris, please email me at alcojo94@yahoo.com with your mailing address so I can get your prize out to you!

This week we have a color challenge and I instantly thought Easter when I saw the colors. I don't celebrate Easter but I like making cards for my friends that do! I used an image from the MFT Pure Innocence line for my card, creating a background with an MFT stencil and then popping up my image on the bottom of the card after coloring it with copics. I used the yellow, the greenish color in the middle and the light blue for my card.

Make sure you visit the rest of the DT to see what they created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with these colors!

Happy Easter

For today's card I am playing along with the new sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I haven't been feeling much mojo lately but when I saw this sketch I knew I wanted to pull out an image I had recently colored for The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge.

The paper is some I had in my stash and so I cut that for the bottom half of the card, rounded the bottom edges and then I used a die from MFT to create the middle strip. I popped up the image with dimensionals and then stamped the sentiment.

I kind of feel like I'm toeing the line for the sketch but after looking at some of the DT cards I think I'm ok. I'm going to try and get a card made that has a larger sentiment as the focal point though.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Easter

I'm squeaking in at the last minute with a card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I spent the afternoon watching the Super (Snooze) Bowl and then went out and enjoyed the 8 inches of snow we got today!! I love snow so that was definitely the best part of my day. However I had this card sitting on my craft desk waiting to be finished so here it is.

I decided to get going on Easter cards and used one of my favorite Pure Innocence stamps, I think she is just too cute! The paper is from a Doodlebug pad I had in my stash and I used a die to cut strips from different colors and patterns. I also used some of the pink paper in the pad to paper piece the girls dress. I popped the image up with dimensionals and then finished the card off by stamping 'Happy Easter' in green.

Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Wishes

For this card I played along with the Power Poppy Hues to Use challenge from March 6. It took me a while to think of something because of the pink and purple hues. We all know how much I love those colors, not LOL They always stump me but I scrolled through my Power Poppy digi's and finally settled on this Easter image.

I decided to color the egg purple and the ribbon and flower the pink. Then I brought the pink in some more with the background paper and used the green for the leaves and the background paper. My purple isn't as vibrant as the one in the graphic though.

Thanks for stopping by!
