A Yeti Christmas

I needed to create some Christmas cards for an order I received and the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect starting point. I am really loving this sketch, I think it's a great way to use images with a sentiment!

For these cards I used some retired Christmas DSP from SU and the Beast Friends set from MFT. The set comes with several different yeti images and so I used an image of a yeti with a mug and another of a yeti wrapped in Christmas lights.

Thanks for stopping by!

Are You Yeti For Christmas?

Now that I'm almost done with my kitchen remodel I can focus on stamping again and so today I played along with the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players and the animal challenge at Jingle Belles (I think I channeled Lauren and her monster vibes ;) .

I recently got this new set from the latest MFT release. It's called 'Beast Friends' and I just love this yeti with Christmas lights. I've always been interested in the legend surrounding yeti's but I think over time people have made them out to be cuter than they are supposed to be, and that's ok!

We already have snow on the ground here in my part of Alaska so I am completely in Christmas mode already! I am more than "yeti" for the holiday season :)

Stamps: Beast Friends (MFT)
Paper: Smoky Slate, Neenah Solar White, All is Calm DSP (SU retired)

E00, R000
R46, B09, YG09
Accessories: Scan N Cut, Cuttlebug, MFT Die-Namics Blueprints 15 and 23, dimensionals

You're a Rare Find

This week at The Friday Mashup we have a color challenge. I think I got most of the colors. I'm having a week from hell and I have to say my mind wasn't fully into this challenge, as I'm trying not to stress and blow a gasket over what I'm dealing with right now. Anyway....

I grabbed some items from Lawn Fawn to create my card. Yeti's are always good for a snowflake card! I embossed the Navy card stock with a falling snow folder and then used Lawn Fawn large stitched snowflakes in a slate gray to accompany the yeti. The yeti was colored in with gray copics.

Head on over to The Friday Mashup blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along with us!

  • Create a project featuring at least 3 of the colors above and Neutral of your choice
  • or Create a project featuring Snow/Snowflakes.
  • or Mash it up! and create a Snow themed project using the colors above.
