The set I used is also MFT and is called Playful Penguins. When you're floating out there in the water it all kinds of blends together so I sprayed some water on the lower half of the card to make it look like water around the penguin and his ice shelf. After adhering the penguin to the card I then added some white dots in the sky as stars, because at this point I decided to add some stars that come in the set and make an evening scene. The seats are recliners and they can be turned on to heat your back. Oh...my...gosh.....I always plop down, turn the heat on, stuff some popcorn in my face and then recline the chair as soon as the movie starts. Plus when you buy your ticket you pick out your seat, and there are specific spots I like to sit in so I love that we can choose our seating. Getting the time to unwind and be creative is much needed for good mental health care. When I was thinking about what kind of Christmas card I wanted to make I immediately thought of the Merry Christmoose set, it's one of my favorites. The theme for the <a href="https://www.mftstamps.com/blogs/news/outside-the-box-march2023">Outside the Box challenge is Cozy at Home</a> so I decided to do a box card with a moose sitting inside, a cup of hot chocolate in his hooves, the tree by the window with presents underneath and his 2 furry little friends close by. Mama had a severely injured leg but it wasn't keeping her from moving around. They were hanging out in front of one of the stations for the fire dept I belong to and every day after my regular 9-5 I would go and check on them. I then used a 'thanks' die from MFT, cutting it out several times so I could stack it for more dimension, as my sentiment. After placing the "thanks" sentiment on the card I used a Wink of Stella pen to add some glitter. The tram cars represent the flowers and the wires, trams and house with trees help form a bit of a circle in the middle. It's located south of Anchorage in Girdwood and last year when my daughter was working there I went down to visit her and we took the tram to the top of the mountain. For a little more "ooomph" I decided to make a shaker card so I went through my stash of sequins and went with a yellow/clear mix to go with my gray and yellow color scheme. I'm a sucker for anything woodsy and this set can be used year round. I used Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry DSP for my papers and for the wood I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. Growing up getting the perfect tree was a big thing for my dad and he made it so fun. It's time for a <a href="http://powerpoppy.blogspot.com/">new Blossom Challenge over at the Power Poppy blog </a>and this month Christine is challenging us with a theme of Glassy-Eyed. She wants us to use an image that is in glass or under glass, or if you're really creative create a glass vase, snowglobe or cloche over any Power Poppy image!</span></b><div><b><span style="font-family: georgia;"><br /></span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-family: georgia;">For my card I used the digital stamp from <a href="https://powerpoppy.com/collections/digital-stamps/products/tabletop-tree">Tabletop Tree</a>. This image features a bottlebrush tree under a glass cloche and it reminds me of some of the Christmas decorations my grandparents had on their Christmas tree. I tried to picture this decoration on a table with a wall behind it, so I used copic T markers along with a C00 and the blender pen to create lines and shadows in the glass. Is it perfect?
