How Loved You Are for Sunday Stamps

It's time for another challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a fun sketch from Deb!

My daughter is living in SE Alaska right now and I love sending her cards to let her know I'm thinking about her. This sketch was a perfect way to send her a sweet card just to say hi. I used retired paper from SU and a sentiment image from Power Poppy.

Bundle of Love for Sunday Stamps

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and we have another fun sketch to play along with!

My daughter is currently in SE Alaska and I'm putting together a care package to send to her on Monday, and I wanted a card to put in the box. This weeks sketch was the perfect starting point for the card. I took a little liberty with the design but the general elements are all there.

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this year we've changed things a little bit. Instead of sketch, color challenge, sketch, etc we are switching it up to sketch, sketch, color challenge. Everyone seems to love the sketches more, myself included!

For this weeks sketch I used Claire's great design to create a card for my grandson for Valentine's Day. He turned 2 in December and his personality is really coming out. His mom and dad will ask him what animal makes what sound and his little "rawr" for a dinosaur is just the cutest thing ever! The image I used is a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil.

So Much Love

Happy Sunday! It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a fun color challenge for everyone!

For my card I decided to use a Stampin'Up! set called Love For You. I used 4 of the colors from the graphic, all of them being 2022-2024 InColors.

The inspiration for my layout came from the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge. The "for" and "you" are in place of the 2 circles along the main circle and they are popped up for added dimension.

Make sure and head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us! There is also still some time to play along with Freshly Made Sketches, their challenge closes at noon PST on 3/20.

Love and Warmth

It's time for a new Sunday Stamps challenge and this week we have a great color challenge. I especially love the graphic, it features my very favorite mushroom, the Fly Agaric. I have a ton of them in my yard right now!

Fly Agarics in various stages in my yard

For my card I used a new set from SU called Ringed With Nature. I'm a sucker for anything woodsy and this set can be used year round. I used Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry DSP for my papers and for the wood I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake. The little mushrooms were made with Poppy Parade and Crumb Cake and I added the dots with a white gel pen.

My layout is from the current sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. It was just what I needed for what I had in mind for this set.

You're My Anchor

I'm late, I'm late! Better late than never though, right? :)

We have a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and it's a fun color challenge! The colors are perfect for a summer or patriotic vibe. Since it's been forever since I inked up any of my Pure Innocence stamps I decided to pull put my Sailor Girl, who is just perfect for these colors.

I colored her dress bluer and used red as the accent. Being a Navy family my daughter had an adorable outfit like this when she was a baby, and I also dressed my boys in fun sailor outfits. I always think back to those days when I color this image. Kids grow up way too fast!

The layout came from last weeks Freshly Made Sketches, I really loved it but never got time to play along.

Sending Peace and Love

Welcome to Friday! I hope things are going well for everyone. I only have today and Monday left to work and then I am on break for a month and boy do I need it! I have a lot of house and yard projects to get done, not to mention all the stamping I need to catch up on!

Today's it's all about Friday Fun over at Power Poppy! I inked up a clear set I got not too long ago, Tree of Life (sadly, it's currently sold out). I've been wanting to ink this image up for so long and right now was the perfect time as I have a dear friend going through a very difficult time. Her strength the last week or so has been so inspiring and since we'll be on our break and won't see each other at work I plan on sending this to her as a little pick me up. I hope she likes it!

Would you like some more Friday Fun? Go check out what these 2 amazing ladies created!

Love One Another

I started coloring this card toward the end of last week and then I got knocked out of commission with a nasty cold. I hate it when that happens, especially when I had a 3 day weekend that I didn't get to enjoy! I finally had enough energy to get this card finished up on Monday, thankfully.

The image is from the Power Poppy digital set Love One Another. I just love irises and tulips, they are such happy flowers. It's funny, I don't like the color purple in day to day stuff but when it comes to flowers give me a purple and yellow combo any day!

Thanks for stopping by!

I Love You

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this time we have a fun sketch from Claire!

I colored the rose in a coral color and then used some Toner Gray copics for the tag and around the outline of the leaves and flower. I knew I wanted my card base to be the same coral color so I grabbed some Granite Gray card stock and embossed that with the 3D Brick Wall embossing flower for some texture. I finished it off by tying a bit of Calypso Coral ribbon around the stem portion of the top of the image.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we 'd love to see how you interpret the sketch! You can also play along with each of the Creative Confetti challenges all month!

My Missing Piece

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a color challenge for everyone!

I don't know why but color challenges with pink in them always throw me off, maybe because it's not a color I care for. I had to think about these colors and how I wanted to use them, finally settling on this card using a SU set.

I used a die to cut the puzzle pieces in 4 of the challenge colors and then I cut the sentiment heart out with a die after stamping it in Cherry Cobbler.  I knew I wanted a white background but it looked a bit boring so I used a SU 3D embossing folder to add some texture.

Make sure and head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with these colors!

Bushels of Love

This sweet image is available to the Patreon subscribers of Mo Manning @ Mo's Digital Pencil.. How adorable are the barrels filled with hearts and the big curly ponytails on the little girl? This was a lot of fun to color!

Valentine Greetings

Today's card features a set I used on my previous card, Va-Va-Valentines from Power Poppy. I just love this digital stamp set so much and this sock image is my favorite!

I kept the layout simple and added some paper piercing around the edges for a little more visual interest. I also brought on some of the green from the DSP into the image. Green is one of my favorite colors so of course I have to have it in there somewhere :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy I Found You

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamp blog and this week we have a fun sketch from Heidi!

Valentine's Day will be here before we know it and although I don't celebrate the day I know a lot of people who do! Power Poppy has an amazing digital set called Va-Va- Valentines and I used one of the images from that set on my card, as it was perfect for the circle element on the sketch.

Last week I had used this image on another card and when coloring it this time I decided to use the same colors from the papers on the previous card. I'm not much of a pink fan but I really like how the Melon Mambo goes with the Bermuda Bay. I didn't want to use patterned paper for the background but I also didn't want to leave it plain so I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder from my stash. The fun heart background gives just the right amount of texture and extra visual pop.

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with for this sketch and then play along with us, we'd love to see what YOU can do with it!

Love You Bunches

Today's card features an image from Mo's Digital Pencil that is only available to her Patreon subscribers right now. Have you checked out her Patreon page? If not, head on over! There are 3 different tiers you can sign up for and for each tier you get special offers, discounts and access to free or pre-release images, all while supporting a talented artist. It's a win-win situation for everyone!

I just think this image is too cute! It's called 'Dandelions' and it's a little girl holding a big bouquet of dandelions. I have to admit, I'm one of those people that will leave the dandelions in my yard long enough for the bees to do their thing and then I pull them out and they go into my burn pit.

Thanks for stopping by!

Worth Melting For

This week The Paper Players have a theme challenge and it's all about love. My 25th wedding anniversary is Tues Feb.5th so it's an easy theme for me this week!

My card is definitely not your traditional love card! My husband (yes, my husband) is a HUGE fan of the Frozen movie and has a huge collection of Frozen stuff in his man cave. Our 2 mini dachshunds are named Elsa and Anna, I mean c'mon now LOL When I saw that Isabel Cristina recently added the digital set "Winter Princess" to her Etsy shop I just had to get the set so I could make cards for hubby and our anniversary was the perfect opportunity.

I used the sketch from last weeks Paper Players challenge for my card. My paper is from a Frozen Paper Stack I got at Walmart, I think. I die cut a circle from Marina Mist and then embossed that with a snowflake pattern. I colored Olaf and Elsa with my copics and added Wink of Stella all over both images. I also used my silver gel pen to add some sparkle to Elsa's dress. I printed out one of the sentiments from the digital set, adhered that across the circle and then popped up the images with dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

I Love You This Much

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a color challenge. I won't lie, this one was hard for me. I'm don't mind the color red but I despise the color pink so trying to work with it always leaves me banging my head LOL

For my card I used a retired MFT PI image. I just love these images and with these colors it was perfect to use for a Valentines Day card. My paper is brand new DSP from SU that can be found in the Occasions catalog and the colors from this set went along beautifully with this color challenge! I paper pieced the girls dress to coordinate with the background paper.

I was stuck on a layout but once again the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches came to my rescue. My vertical portion is the little girl so that part isn't as long as the one in the sketch.

Make sure and head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us. We'd love to see what you can do with these colors!

I'm So Happy I Found You

This week at The Paper Players they have a color challenge and so I decided to make a Valentines Day card, I like how they aren't traditional colors one would grab for a love card.

The image I used is from the Power Poppy digital set Va-Va-Valentines. I used the Pool Party and Grapefruit Grove to color in the socks with just a hint of the Daffodil Delight thrown in. As I was grabbing DSP to assemble the card I decided I wanted more of the Daffodil Delight on the card and I happened to have this circle already cut and in my stash, perfect for backing the circle the image is on! For the color of my choice I just brought in a small touch of brown on the clothespins holding up the socks.

Thanks for stopping by!

Bee Mine for Sunday Stamps

It's time for a new challenge over at Sunday Stamps and this week Annette has a great sketch for us! I've been coloring this image for a few days and wanted to use it on my card so I turned the sketch but all the elements are still there.

The image is a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil and is called Bee Mine. I used my copics to color her in and then I printed out the sentiment, cut it apart and then paper pierced it to match the rectangle die I used on the main image.

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what YOU do with this sketch!

Snowman Love

This year I'd like to make more time for the various challenge blogs I follow so I'm starting off 2019 by playing along with a blog that I follow but that I don't think I have ever actually entered a challenge at, the Inspired By Challenge. The current challenge is to be inspired by a snowman and so I pulled out this older snowman stamp from MFT. It's perfect because it's a winter stamp but with the heart he's holding it's also a great image to use for Valentines Day!

From the challenge image I was inspired by the snowman himself and his striped scarf. The inspiration snowman has just a hint of his scarf showing as does the snowman on my card.

My layout is from Freshly Made Sketches.

Thanks for stopping by!

Make My Heart Melt

For today's card I'm playing along with the current challenge over at the Freshly Made Sketches blog. I used a digital stamp from Power Poppy, from the Va-Va Valentines set. How adorable is this image and sentiment? I love Marcella's creations!

My colors are from a retired SU 12x12 pad of former In Colors. This year I want to use more of the items I hoard...I mean, have in my stash ;)

Thanks for stopping by!
