Warm Wishes for LMMS

It's time for Inspiration Week at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this week I'm using Polka Dot Pals Wyleen. I just can't resist this sweet girl making snow angels!

I grabbed some older Lawn Fawn paper I had in my stash and pulled the colors from my paper to color my image. I just love the red and this cool aqua color together, it definitely says winter to me!

Joy to the World for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I spent all day Saturday working on a fire pit area in my backyard and my back is paying for it today so I think I'm going to be stuck on the couch watching TV for today.

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a great sketch from Melissa. I had an idea in my head as soon as I saw the sketch but had to tweak my idea a bit to keep it in line with the layout.

For the circle element on the sketch I used the Hometown Greetings Framelits from SU. I adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy that I embossed with a retired SU folder called Softly Falling. It's my favorite embossing folder ever, I'll never give that one up LOL I then cut a piece of  Under the Mistletoe DSP and adhered that to an Old Olive card base. I pulled the red from the DSP and created a sentiment strip from Real Red and heat embossed a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home set across it.

Make sure to head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us! We'd love to see how you interpret the sketch!

Fall Haul for Paper Players

When I saw the current Paper Players challenge get posted I knew I wanted to play along but then the week started and I totally spaced it. Thankfully I saw the reminder on my blog list last night and I printed out the digital image from Power Poppy that I wanted to use so I could color it up at work and have it ready to go today.

I'm using the image Fall Haul from Power Poppy, I just love this digital stamp and it's perfect for the fruit and vegetables theme! Did you know that moose love to eat pumpkin? It's true! A few years ago I got a picture of a young moose down on it's front knees eating the Halloween pumpkins my neighbors had discarded in their backyard. In Oct social media in Alaska is usually full of photos of moose eating pumpkins off porches LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

Trick or Treat for LMMS

It's time for a new challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog! There are some awesome new images in the shop but for this card I decided to take it back and use an older image, Swing N Slides Lil' Spook. I just love this fun image and I'm in a fall frame of mind so a Halloween card was just the thing I needed.

I used a retired die from MFT to create my "window", using fun bat themed paper for the inside openings. Using Versamark I stamped a retired spiderweb from SU around the orange frame. I then popped up my Lil' Spook image with dimensionals and adhered a sentiment to the top of the card.

You can find this image HERE in the store and you call find all the brand new images HERE. Make sure to head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

Let it Snow for LMMS

It's Inspiration Week over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this week I'm using a brand new image, Polka Dot Pals Wyleen. I was SO happy to see a winter image being released since winter is my favorite season! Pretty soon I'll be able to look out my craft room window at a snow covered yard, I can't wait!

I printed the image out and then die cut it with a circle. I then pulled out the patterned paper I wanted to use and pulled the colors from that to color the image with. I then cut all my papers and assembled them on the card base, embossing one layer with a snowfall background, and I also used that same embossing folder on my image. You have to have snow falling if you're making snow angels, it makes it that much more fun :)

If you head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog you can see how LMMS customers used the images as part as Customer Appreciation Day! More great news....over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps store a big sale starts today and goes until Saturday! Head over to the store and stock up!

Don't forget, the Anything Goes challenge is still open over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog so head on over and play along with us!

Wonderful You for Sunday Stamps

This week over at the Sunday Stamps blog we have a new color challenge up. These colors made me think for a bit but then I finally got an idea.

Using the current layout from Freshly Made Sketches as my inspiration I stamped the Dahlia XL stamp from Power Poppy onto the card base with Versamark. I then stamped the same flower in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with orange copics, then cut it out with my Scan N Cut. I adhered it to my card base and then created a strip to go across the flower and stamped the sentiment in SU Blueberry Bushel on it. The three colors I used from the graphic were the light gray, the orange and the darker blue.

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

Opal Inspiration for Power Poppy

Power Poppy had a weekly color challenge that I loved to play along with called Hues to Use. They revamped it and it is now called Creative Confetti and while still a color challenge there is going to be a different theme each week. For the first challenge we are to use our birthstone as inspiration for our card.

My birthday is Oct.11 and the birthstone is opal. I am such a literal person that I really wasn't sure how exactly to take the colors of the stone and translate that to a card. Opals have so many colors, when you move them around you can see yellow, green, purple, red, gray, etc. After going through all the clear and digital Power Poppy stamps I own I finally settled on the digital image Winter Pick-Me-Up. This image was perfect for being able to bring out the brighter colors found in opals but also the gray and white hue it's known for.

I used my rings for inspiration....the one on the left belonged to my grandmother. My dad's youngest brother is an Oct baby, as are 4 out of the 5 grandkids my grandma had (including me). My grandma had a Mother's Ring that she wore and I used to love sitting on the floor next to her and moving her hand around so I could watch the opal change colors. When she passed in 2008 I was given her wedding ring set and this opal ring, so they have a tremendous amount of meaning to me. The ring on the right was a 16th birthday present to me from my parents.

Wander Often for LMMS

It's time for a new challenge over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog and there are some new images that were just released today! I am featuring 2 of those images on my card today, Polka Dot Pals Joshua and the Wander Often Sentiment. You can find these images and the other new ones in the LMMS store HERE.

I kept my card nice and simple...I placed Polka Dot Pals Joshua over the sentiment in Word, and then I changed the color of the sentiment from black to blue because I knew I would be coloring with some blue on my image. Plus I just love blue LOL

Make sure and head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us!

I Pick You

I've got fall fever something fierce and so I've been working on autumn themed cards. This card features one of my favorite MFT Pure Innocence images.

No challenges of any kind featured on this card, it was a "just because I want to stamp" project :)

Summer Vibes for LMMS

It's Inspiration Week over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps and this week I'm going with a summer themed card. I used the one of the newer images, Pick-Me-Up Truck with the summer option. It's got the watermelons in the bed of the truck with a blanket going across the tailgate, perfect for a summer greeting!

The watermelon paper is from a paper pad I got at Michaels, it was perfect for this stamp! The striped paper is from SU and the color went beautifully with the paper from Michaels. I love it when things work out like that.

Don't forget, the Anything Goes challenge is still open over at the Little Miss Muffet Stamps blog so go check it out and play along with us!
