Joy to the World for Sunday Stamps

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I spent all day Saturday working on a fire pit area in my backyard and my back is paying for it today so I think I'm going to be stuck on the couch watching TV for today.

It's time for a new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and this week we have a great sketch from Melissa. I had an idea in my head as soon as I saw the sketch but had to tweak my idea a bit to keep it in line with the layout.

For the circle element on the sketch I used the Hometown Greetings Framelits from SU. I adhered it to a piece of Night of Navy that I embossed with a retired SU folder called Softly Falling. It's my favorite embossing folder ever, I'll never give that one up LOL I then cut a piece of  Under the Mistletoe DSP and adhered that to an Old Olive card base. I pulled the red from the DSP and created a sentiment strip from Real Red and heat embossed a sentiment from the Hearts Come Home set across it.

Make sure to head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us! We'd love to see how you interpret the sketch!

  1. Lisa, recently I was looking around SSC Blog to see how long its been around and what I found out was that YOU have been with it like FOREVER! Amazing! You obviously are talented and can stamp way faster than me! :0 tee-hee. have a great week!

  2. Lisa, I love your card! The night scene against the plaid is so festive! The images are perfect for the sketch! :)

  3. Lisa, this is lovely! The plaid paper and the night scene are just perfect together! Such a perfect sentiment, My Friend! XX
