Maize for Hues to Use

A new Hues to Use color palette was posted today over at the Power Poppy blog and let me just say, I LOVE these colors! Browns and a rich yellow? Yes please! I am totally in fall mode already so I knew instantly which set I wanted to use when I saw this, the Maize for Days digital stamp set.

I colored the corn in with copics Y35 and YR24. The lighter shade of brown was brought in on the husks and then I used the darker brown to color in the ribbon. The bittersweet has some yellow also as well as a touch of orange. I didn't want to include too much orange since it's not in the color challenge but I did include some patterned paper that has a touch of orange also. However the 3 colors from the challenge are the focus of the card.

I popped the image panel up with dimensionals and thought about putting a sentiment across the bottom but after several tries I just didn't like how it looked and finally decided to leave a sentiment off the front.

Thanks for stopping by!
