Getting Old with Jingle Belles

This week over at Jingle Belles they are doing a cross challenge with Shopping Our Stash and they want us to use an item in our stash that is older than a year. I grabbed the bin I keep older misc. stamps in and started going through it to see what I could use. I finally grabbed this night church scene stamp. Its got to be at least 15 years old, if not more, and I honestly don't think I have ever used it before. No better time than the present!

I stamped the image in Night of Navy on Whisper White card stock and then I colored in the holly in the corners, the wreaths on the doors , the stained glass window and the windows. This image really reminds me of growing up in New England and the lovely old churches you could find in towns throughout the area.

To finish it up I added some SU Dazzlin Diamonds glitter to the trees, the roof of the church and the snowy path. I also used SU Dazzling Details in Cherry Cobbler for the berries on the holly. I mounted the scene of a piece of Whisper White that was embossed with the CB Swiss Dots EF.

It's been raining here for a few days so its dark both outside in the house, making it hard to get a good photo. Trust me, this card is so pretty in person, I just love it!.

Make sure you head over to both Jingle Belles and Shopping Our Stash to play along!
