Freshly Made Sketches was the perfect jumping point for this card. I skimmed over the sets and finally decided on Vivid Vases. Our friend loves flowers and has a very vibrant personality so I wanted to do something that reflected her personality. I've got WAYYYY too much DSP so I'm trying to use some of the retired stuff...here I grabbed Sycamore Street. I really love the colors and designs in this DSP.
I stamped the 3 middle vases in Black StazOn on Whisper White and then I stamped the images again on various DSP from the pack. I cut it out and paper pieced the bases and then used markers to color in the flowers.
To finish the card I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry and cut the strip into a banner and popped it up with dimensionals. I then took a Sycamore Street Designer Button and threaded some gold elastic cord through it and attached it to the card. I'm not a big button person but I think it goes nicely with this card.
Thanks for looking and make sure you check out Freshly Made Sketches and play along with them!

LOVE this, Lisa. I think the Vivid Vases is my favorite stamp! You rocked the sketch and the design.
ReplyDeleteI love this! The paper-pieced vases are fun and so pretty. Congratulations on getting the Denali pass! How exciting! We just visited the park last month, and I wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
