Last time I bought you a masculine sketch mashup so this time I thought I'd go all girly, it seems like I'm seeing a lot of Chirstmas cards starting to appear on blogs and challenges so here is your chance to get back to creating with lovely ribbons, lace, bling and pretty girly colours before you go all out on the red and green.
The mash up is to use your favourite technique, so if you like embossing, or using alcohol inks or shaving cream or rock n roll stamping, die cuts - Whatever it is, use it on your girly project and enter the challenge.
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
Make a project featuring "A Girly Theme".
Or Make a project using "Your Favorite Technique".
Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Girly project using your Favorite Technique
Well, Kasey did mention Christmas cards and thats what I went with, but although there is some red I think I went pretty girly with the addition of pink, pearls and scallops!I used some retired DSP and for my favorite technique I did spotlighting(and some watercoloring too).
I'm glad I got it done earlier in the week, in between snow storms, because right now I'm surrounded by a winter wonderland and I admit it, I would much rather be out in the snow than in the house stamping! LOL
Now dont be like me, ROFL...head over to the Friday Mashup blog and play along with us! We love seeing everyones creations every week!
My backyard right now :)
Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Greeting Card Kids, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Close To Cocoa, Watercolor Paper, Candy Lane DSP
Ink: Soft Suede, Riding Hood Red, Garden Green, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: 1" square punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Modern Label Punch, Pearls, sponge, dimensionals, aquapainter
LOOK AT THAT SNOW! WOW! Well, I'll bet you are in a festive mood with all that white stuff around. Love your card and the way you coloured it, spotlighting with the square, cool idea Lisa!

Very cute choice of stamp, and I love the interest of the spotlighting square!
ReplyDeleteWonderfil girly Christmas :) love that image. I wish I could go out and play in you snow for a little while. We get very little here on the island.
ReplyDeleteI feel cold just looking at all of that snow!! Brrrrrrrrrr! You created an adorable card!! The coloring looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others- I am cold looking at that much snow but for Alaska, maybe not so much? Love the girly Christmas card- the coloring, spotlighting and use of the DSP- perfect for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteLisa... first of all, am jealous of all your snow! I love it, too! But I also love your spotlighting technique. What a cool idea! I love that technique, but I don't use it much. You used it beautifully here. Kudos!
ReplyDeleteI had to do a double take.. I thought you had colored that whole image in.. The spotlighting technique is one of my favs too.. I'm glad you finally got your snow. See you just had to wait!No get out there and build me a snowman!!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, Interesting take on the spotlight technique, using a square rather than a spot! Yes it passes for Girly, lol.
ReplyDeleteSnow is just so unreal for me, starting to swelter in humid conditions here in the tropics. Enjoy your snow!
