Winter Colors with Friday Mashup

Happy Friday! Did everyone in the States have a nice Thanksgiving? I hope so! It snowed all day at my place, giving us about another 3" on top of the 20" or so that we already have, so between new snow and the great food and family time I had a great day!

We have a great challenge again this week at The Friday Mashup, this time from Lesley. It's all about Christmas(only 29 days away!) and some excellent winter colors....Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

-Make a project featuring "A Christmas Theme".

-Make a project using the colors "Aqua, Chocolate and White".
-Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Christmas themed project using the colors Aqua, Chocolate and White"

I mashed it up and did a Christmas card with those colors. I used the Stitched Stockings set from the Holiday Mini. I saw this set and just had to have it, but this is the first time its seen ink since I got it in October. I hate it when I do that! LOL When I finished I thought it needed a little more so I added some paper piercing and then used a white gel pen to create some faux stitching.

Head on over to The Friday Mashup blog and check out all the great inspiration from the rest of the design team, and then play along with us. I love seeing what people come up with every week!

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Stitched Stockings
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Merry Moments DSP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool, Stretch Silver Cord, white gel pen, sponge, dimensionals

  1. I really liked this set so much, too, but I didn't get it. I may have to. I've seen a lot with it that's really cute (and not just for the holidays). Your card is really great with the layering of snowflakes in the DSP, the embossing, and the in your stockings, too! Nice!

  2. So cute! The faux stitching is a perfect touch!

Hope the snow stays up there with you! LOL!!

  3. Lisa this is so cute, I love the faux stitching you've done, brilliant idea to 'frame' your paper and images.

  5. These stocking are darling, love the faux stitching.

  6. Love the stockings on a string!

  7. Well I may have to get this stocking punch now.. This came out so cute! I love how you strung them..

  8. Oh Lisa, your card is adorable! Love the stitching!
