The last year has been a difficult one for me and during this time I have really learned the meaning of gratitude. Life passes us by so quickly...do YOU take the time to show gratitude to those that mean the most to you, to the people that take time out of their day to give you a simple smile or maybe a much needed hug? Do you look at your family and let them know you are grateful for their presence in your life?
This week I want you to create a card or project that you can give to someone to express your gratitude. It can be for a neighbor, a loved one, a complete stranger....just make something that says you are thankful for them or something they have done. While you are at it add in some heat embossing to give the project a little something extra!
So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
1. Make a project featuring "Heat Embossing".
2. Or Make a "Thank You (Grateful)" project.
3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Thank You Project using Heat Embossing".
I mashed it up of course and made a card that I'll be sending out to someone special for Thanksgiving. Once again I'm using my new favorite, the Spice Cake DSP. I just cant get enough of this paper, which is odd for me! For the embossing part I heat embossed my sentiment with some copper colored embossing powder I've had for yrs. It looks really pretty in the light and goes great with the colors of this card.

Lisa, I love your challenge idea. I think I thought immediately about Thanksgiving because it is coming up and plans are being made, but it is so important to remember those we are thankful for. When we practice the attitude of gratitude, we are focused in a postive direction. Speaking of positive, I love the medallion! I almost used that stamp, too. I love the mulitple colors that you've used on the stamp. I also love the textures.ReplyDelete
Beautiful card, love the texture. Your medallion is fabulous.ReplyDelete

Lisa, this card is so beautiful! Love the layered medallion and all of the colors used! Who can resist the Spice Cake DSP- it looks great with all of the texture that you have incorporated and isn't it wonderful to be able to use something that you have had for years (I still have the copper EP as well)! Thanks for sharing your talent and inspiration with us all!ReplyDelete
Lisa I love the way you colored the medallion! Wow! It gives a whole new look to it! I am never brave enough to tackle that stamp with markers!ReplyDelete
You know I still haven't gotten any of that Spice Cake paper. I love the colors you used for the medallion.. It's perfect for fall! Sorry I'm so late making my rounds from last week.ReplyDelete
