Christmas Carol with Paper Players

For todays card I played along with this weeks challenge over at The Paper Players. It's a color challenge and we are to use the colors Riding Hood Red, River Rock and Always Artichoke.

I love the stamp set A Christmas Carol and decided to use that image for my card. I stamped it on Naturals White with Early Espresso to get a bit of an old-fashioned look, and I sponged the edges with Always Artichoke. Its a bit hard to see but I used River Rock as the layer underneath the Deck The Halls DSP. The sketch is from Splitcoast, SC353.

I didnt want to over-do the card so I just added some paper piercing for a little extra visual.

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: A Christmas Carol
Paper: Riding Hood Red, River Rock, Always Artichoke, Naturals White, Deck The Halls DSP
Ink: Always Artichoke, Early Espresso
Accessories: Paper Piercing Tool, Sponge, Dimensionals

  4. Oh my goodness, I love that moose! I need to put on a hat and gloves after seeing the temps where you are. Brrr! I live in the state with the "other" Houston. It was chilly here today the high 60's but we will be back up to 80 tomorrow. Your card is so fantastic for the holiday season. Love how you paired the image with the musical paper. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! :)

  5. Hi Lisa,
Guess what, it snowed here yesterday! LOL! Maybe I jinxed us this year, saying that it hardly snows! Oh no!! I really like your card and the use of DSP, that was so clever! I wish I could still buy this DSP, it was my favourite!! Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players.
    Smiles,
    Lesley
