Peaceful Christmas Green for Merry Monday

What a week this has been...myself, hubby and 2 of our 3 kids came down with norovirus. If you've never had it, count yourself lucky. If you have had it then you know the hell we went through! I am just glad that I finally feel human again for the first time since last weekend and that meant actually being able to sit and stamp today, wooohooo! I wanted to get a card done for Merry Monday, I've been thinking about the sketch all week and how I wanted to tackle it.

I wont lie, I found this sketch pretty intimidating and  was wishing for a Tic Tac Toe challenge instead LOL I finally decided to use the Christmas Collage background stamp and cut the image down to fit what I wanted on the card. It is stamped in Old Olive, pulling the color from the DSP I used. I thought the 'Peace on Earth' sentiment worked well with the background image so I also stamped that in Old Olive and used a circle punch to cut it out. The circle is popped up with dimensionals and 3 small banners are mounted below it.

I thought the card looked kind of plain so I added some faux stitching around the edges.

It felt good to get crafty and Christmasy again!

  2. Lisa, so sorry to hear about your sickness but glad it is all over with now and your back to creating and what a lovely card it is! Love the monochromatic color with a touch of blue in the banners at the bottom. Gorgeous! I am up to my eyebrows trying to get our house ready to put on the market so I haven't been keeping up with my blog or reading others much. Will be so glad when it's all over.
