Spring Colors and Butterflies to Say Thanks

Today's card was made using the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I'm a snow and cold temperatures girl but I can channel my inner spring when I need too :)

I started with paper from the Tea For Two DSP and worked my way from there. I really love the So Saffron and Island Indigo together(I am so excited that Island Indigo is sticking around, its one of my favs!). I got the paper put together, the sentiment stamped, the ribbon on...and then I got stuck. For the life of me I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do for the shape in the middle. I tried a few different things and then decided to keep it nice and simple! An oval from the framelits set, some embossing and then pretty butterflies and voila, done! The oval is popped up with dimensionals.

We still have a lot of snow, but our blue skies are close to Island Indigo!

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Oh, Hello
Paper: Island Indigo, Naturals White, So Saffron, Lucky Limeade, Tea For Two DSP
Ink: So Saffron, Island Indigo
Accessories: Big Shot, Ovals Collection Framelits, Embosslits Beautiful Wings,  CB Swiss Dots EF, Pearls, So Saffron Ribbon(retired), So Saffron Brads, sponge, dimensionals

  3. Very pretty spring-like card. I so love the butterflies with the paper you chose. Very sweet. Wish spring would arrive, and look like this.

  4. Great card, Lisa! I just love every detail. Now I need to go make a card with Island Indigo and So Saffron; they look fantastic together!
