Old Fashioned for Merry Monday

I'm playing along with Merry Monday again and this weeks challenge really had me struggling. I've posted before about how much I dislike ovals...I don't know what it is but I have a horrible time trying to get an image in an oval and looking right. Yesterday morning I started this card and by the end of the day I had gotten rid of the original DSP and stamp set I had started with and ended up with something completely different. It may have taken me all day, with my attention being diverted several times throughout the process, but I am quite happy with the end results. I did turn the sketch but stayed true to everything else about it.

Supplies(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Christmas Lodge, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Sahara Sand, Ruby Red, Whisper White
Ink: Crumb Cake, Ruby Red
Accessories: Coluzzle, Modern Label Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Pearls, sponge, dimensionals

  3. OH, now that house image is PERFECT for a horizontal oval! And I like the monochromatic scheme you chose to go with, too.

Thank you so much for playing in the Merry Monday challenge!
