Treats and Spring Colors for Friday Mashup!

Hello and happy Friday to everyone! I dont know whether to enjoy my day today or cry....my kids start Spring Break next week!! Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I suppose I should enjoy the peace and quiet of today before it all disappears next week :)

Kim has a wonderful challenge for us today at The Friday Mashup, and she definitely got me out of my comfort zone for part of it. She wants us to make a 3D item, either a basket or treat pouch, and use the colors green and yellow. I'm good with the colors but 3D items always make me want to run away screaming, LOL. I found this tutorial for a Box in a Bag at Splitcoast and it was VERY easy to make! Even my kids were impressed with the final product, and that doesnt happen often, LOL.(and no, it's not an Easter basket...I dont celebrate Easter and my husband happened to bring home that candy to put in there, LOL).

As usual I MASHED it up and used green and yellow, with some white also. My main colors were Old Olive and Daffodil Delight. I just adore those 2 colors! Also, to make my daughter happy I added some Dazzling Details to one of the butterflies on the sentiment. The DSP and sentiment are both retired but fit perfectly for this challenge!

Make sure you head over to The Friday Mashup blog to see all the other great projects from the design team and then play along with us! I cant wait to see what everyone comes up with.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project using the "Colors Green & Yellow".
  2. Or Make a "3-D project that's a Basket or a Treat Pouch".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Treat Basket/Pouch using the colors Green & Yellow".

  3. I love it - the green you used in particular. And even if it isn't an Easter basket (I don't much celebrate either) it would MAKE a good one. The eggs give it away ;-)
