Hello Sweet Pea

It's Friday and that means it's time for some Friday Fun with Power Poppy! For my card I decided to make my first ever slimline card. They seem to be all the rage right now and I did buy some slimline dies to try out but for this card I went with just some regular cutting.

My grandma used to grow Sweet Peas on the side of her house and I loved looking at them on her trellis whenever I came to visit. I lost my grandma in 2008 and for several years now I've grown Sweet Peas by seed in honor of her. They aren't blooming yet but I'm hoping it won't be too long before I've got some pretty flowers .If you would like to see some Sweet Peas in bloom check out Power Poppy's fearless leader Marcella's Instagram page, she just happened to post yesterday that she had some Sweet Peas blooming. I thought it was great timing since I was making a card featuring the digital set Sweet Pea Show.

I used Photoshop to maneuver the images around and layer them. I then placed the sentiment in a spot that made me happy and changed the color of the sentiment from black to green. The images were colored with copics and then I went old school and did some sponging around the edges.
