Shreddin' Birthday for FMS

Happy New Year! My Christmas vacation is coming to an end, I go back to work on Jan.6th, so I'm slowly starting to get back into a crafting routine after being focused on family and Christmas the last few weeks.

For today's card I am playing with the current sketch over at the Freshly Made Sketches blog. I had thought I missed this sketch but because of the holiday it's open longer then usual, woohoo!

I'm a huge lover of the Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things and I recently acquired this older stamp set from 2011. I've been searching for it for a while so I am absolutely thrilled to own it and wanted to get it inked up.

I kept the color scheme pretty toned down, only using bright colors for his snowsuit. Of course I had to use my 2 favorite colors, blue and green. I carried the blue color into the sketch by making the back layer panel the same blue as his snowsuit. I always need male birthday cards so I used the birthday sentiment from the set for my card.

Thanks for stopping by!
