Relax Your Way with Sunday Stamps

It's been a while since I stamped, between work and the flooring project I just could not find the time to get creative. Now that I'm on summer break for a month and we're doing the last section of the floor today I need to play catch up with my stamping!

Today we have a brand new challenge over at the Sunday Stamps blog and it's some fun bold colors that are perfect for summer. I decided to use a new set from the new SU catalog, the set is called A Good Man. I enjoy making masculine cards and am always looking for good sets so I could not pass this one up.

My layout is from the sketch that Heidi had for us on the last Sunday Stamps challenge. I couldn't get into my craft room to get a card made so I wanted to use the sketch in conjunction with today's color challenge.

I used my Stamparatus to position the image and sentiment stamps and I stamped them using Memento Tuxedo Black and Night of Navy. I then used my copics to color the image, using the red, dark blue, light blue and sand color from the graphic. I matted the Whisper White image panel on some Night of Navy and then created a card base using Night of Navy, then a layer of Come Sail Away DSP and a layer of Poppy Parade beneath the image panel. I popped the image panel up for extra dimension. This card would be great for Fathers Day but I'm actually going to make it a birthday card.

Make sure you head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT created and then play along with us, we'd love to see what you do with these colors!
