Birthday Asters

On Sunday we had all 3 kids home for Fathers Day but I was still able to get some yard work done and create this card while the kids were busy hanging with dad.

This card is for the Power Poppy June Bug challenge. After seeing Julie Koeber highlight this set on a Hues to Use post I realized I didn't have this digi so I promptly went and bought it. Like all of the Power Poppy images the flowers are so pretty and detailed.

I used a blueish violet for my asters, some light pink and gray for the flowering clover and another shade of pink for the flowering thyme. After cutting out the image with a circle die I popped it up on the card base I had created. I thought this would make a great birthday card so I used a sentiment from another Power Poppy set to create the banner across the circle.

  1. Really stunning. Love the how well the designer paper coordinates with your coloring. Hugs, Autumn

  2. Such a great design Lisa. The small scale pattern on that paper really suits the delicate image. Beautiful!
