A Lovely Day

My trip to Denali was awesome, my son's high school graduation was perfect and now that my vacation is winding down and it's back to the grind on Monday I have some time to create.

For this card I played along with the Power Poppy challenge, which was to use a frame on your project, and the mood board that was posted Friday in their Good Vibe 5. The yellow and green colors in the mood board are so me and that's what I pulled from it.

I printed out the image Cuppa Buttercups and I changed the sentiment color from black to green. I colored the image with copics and then began to build my card. The card base is SU Whisper White Thick CS, the yellow frame is cut from some retired SU DSP and since I wanted the image panel to pop I mounted the yellow frame on a piece of SU Lucky Limeade that was embossed with a square lattice pattern. It's a very springy...is that a word? LOL.....card, which is perfect for my neck of the woods, as the leaves on our trees just popped and we are surrounded by green again. The wild roses should be flowering in a few weeks!

Thanks for stopping by!
