You're the Coolest

Yesterday afternoon I was working on another project and ended up discarding the card base because the color and pattern just didn't work with what I was going for. Later that evening I had more time to stamp and so I decided to try the latest Freshly Made Sketch and saw that card base just sitting there and I figured I'd try and make it work. Well, work it did! I love it when things work out like that :)

I used a set from MFT called Penguins in Paradise to create my card. I'm not a fan of tropical weather at all, anything above 70 degrees is way too warm for me, but I adore penguins and this set is just too cute!

I colored in the penguin and palm tree with copics and cut out a circle using the MFT Zig Zag Stitch Circle dies. I adhered the images to the circle and the sentiment banner was created using MFT Blueprints and it was stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink.

  1. Oh my cute! I think your penguin looks good with a palm tree! The touch of blue adds a fabulous contrast!

  2. omg, this is soooo adorable! Love itttt :)

  3. Super cute card. Love how bright and cheery it is. I of course would take tropical heat any day and everyday of the year. I mention that because I know you're a cold weather fan.. and we here in WI are struggling to get above zero. Any ways Happy Valentine's Day ♥

  4. This is just adorable, Lisa. I love the mix of papers you used; they are perfect with that cute penguin. Thanks for sharing with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
