Banners seem to be all the rage right now but I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of them. That's why when I first saw this sketch I thought uh-oh, I don't know if I can do this LOL For this card I used some retired DSP I had called Ski Slope, I really like the colors in it. I did some paper piercing along the bottom decorative edge and to help keep the white from looking so plain I embossed it with the Swiss Dots EF.
I'm also going to link this up at the Jingle Belles blog. They are also on hiatus but are leaving a link up for any Christmas or winter projects.
Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone is having a great day! It's supposed to snow here later day, finally!!
Supplies used (all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Welcome Christmas, Jolly Bingo Bits, More Merry Messages (inside sentiment, not pictured)
Paper: Naurals White, Old Olive, Ski Slope DSP
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelits, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF, sponge, dimensionals
I felt the same way when I saw this sketch, Lisa! But it ended up being my favorite card of the year! These were some of SU's prettiest Christmas papers and they work perfectly on this card. Love the embossing and fancy cut of the white! Thanks for sharing with us at Merry Monday! Hope to see you back in January! Merry Christmas!
