Playing along with Freshly Made Sketches....as a Guest Designer!!

Wooohooo, I am SO excited! When I got an email from Lesley asking if I would like to be a guest designer for the month of April over at Freshly Made Sketches I didn't even hesitate...I said yes right away! I love the talented women over there so to be able to join in this fashion is just awesome, so a big thank you to Freshly Made Sketches for having me!

This weeks sketch is from Jennifer T. and I just love the crisp lines of this sketch. It was really fun to work with and went right into my folder of favorite sketches! You could also easily flip the design, it works wonderfully no matter how it is laid out.

April 4th was my Grandmas birthday, and today she would have been 90 yrs old. We lost her June of 2008 but she is always with me, and today's card was made in honor of her. My Grandma loved her tea and at certain times of the day we could always find her at the kitchen table having a hot cup of her favorite tea. I don't care for tea myself but I just loved to sit by Grandma and she would pour milk or soda for me and we would just sit and talk. My Grandma was pretty awesome :)

Make sure you head over to Freshly Made Sketches to check out all the great cards from the design team and don't forget to play along!

  1. Beautiful card! What a sweet memory of your grandmother. I had two great aunts who lived down the road from me that I would go visit and have tea with even as a small child. I felt so grown up sipping tea with them. Your card brings me right back there. PS I'm looking forward to the blog candy. I procrastinate going to the post office, and I have two within 10 minutes driving distance! Thank you!
