Christmas Bling

I didnt think I was going to get this weeks challenge done for Jingle Belles, as its completely out of my comfort zone...bling, bling and more bling. I'm just not a bling type of person and so anytime I'm asked to add some I really struggle with it.

My card is really simple and the bling is pretty subtle, so I hope it still counts. I used glittery snowflake paper from My Minds Eye and a chipboard tree from K&Company that had some gold glitter on it. I used some of my gold stickles to make the spots a little bigger. It was hard to get a shot to show all the glitter on the card but it is there, I promise!

Paper: Riding Hood Red(SU), My Minds Eye
Chipboard and Scallop border from K&Company
Gold Stickles, dimensionals

  1. holy wow *YES* this totally counts! in fact it's ♥FABULOUS♥ and quite wonderfully sparkly in its own subtle way, which is awesome!!! and don't worry about being "bling challenged"... i guarantee i am using enough for BOTH OF US!!! :) :) :) (seriously, missus, i LOVE THIS!!!)♥

  2. Of course it counts you goofy gal ... it is absolutely lovely ... so subtle yet sparkly ... so glad you joined us at jingle belles.

  3. Your card has a lovely vintage feel and the subtle bling is beautiful! Here's mine!

  4. Lisa, this is beautiful and has a warm rustic feel to it. Very creative! I hope you make top 3!!!

  5. the background paper is just gorgeous! well done for stepping out of your zone and into the bling! it works just great! love it!

  6. Beautiful card, Lisa. In fact, because it's NOT over the top blingy makes it so soft & lovely. Really, truly beautiful. :)

  7. I always smile when your blog appears on the screen and Mr. Moose is there to say hello! Then I get to see something else grand, like your card, which really is blingy but also subtle (as you said) and it works very well!

I have those chipboard pieces (used one for one of my cards this time around as well!) and love them. I think your card is well composed and works perfectly for this challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment, its always appreciated!
