Today is Friday Fun with the Power Poppy crew! Normally I would showcase a digital stamp but I just got this clear set, Bloomin' Wonderful, this week and I really wanted to ink it up. I'll be back with a digital stamp next week!
I love this wreath, it has one of my favorite flowering branches, forsythia. I grew up in New England and forsythia was everywhere. I always loved the bright yellow of the flowers taking over the landscape, it just spoke to my heart. When I saw this wreath had forsythia on it I had to get it! That's one thing I love about Power Poppy images, they bring back such wonderful memories for me, whether it's of places I once lived or people that were important to me. Isn't that what we want with our stamps and the projects we make with them, to feel a connection with them? Ok, ok, no more deep thoughts from me today LOL
I used my copics to color the image. I actually had a big blob accident on the wreath and spent 2 days clearing it up! Hopefully it's not too noticeable to folks where it happened.
Make sure you check out what the rest of the Power Poppy team is having fun with today!
Lisa, I cannot detect your blob accident at all, so I'd say you did a great job of cleaning it up. Love this pretty wreath! It's one of my PP favorites. Your card is beautifully designed and your coloring spot on. Forsythia is such a welcome sign of spring. I'm seeing a few yellow blooms on the one in my backyard already!
ReplyDeleteThis is so soft and pretty. Perfect for spring! I grew up in Pennsylvania and we had a full hedge of forsythia lining our property! I loved seeing it bloom! I am in CA now, and there is nothing like that here. Spring is pretty much like every other season out here. LOL
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet touch of spring! Makes me happy! I love forsythia too. It is such a vibrant hopeful bloom!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautifully crafted. I love the papers and the wreath with bird's nest. Gorgeous image and card.
ReplyDeleteI love the soft colors that you used on this grand wreath. Beautifully done and I can't find a blob. I used a stamp on last Friday's post. I think it will be fine.
ReplyDeleteLisa this is springy perfection! I adore the scallop edges on the dp, not to mention perfect dp. Springy and pretty!
