I love You This Much

It's the first challenge of the New Year over at Sunday Stamps and it's a color challenge. I had to grit my teeth and get this one done because anyone who knows me knows I HATE the color pink. It is literally a color I try and avoid as much possible, both in crafting and life in general!

Since Valentine's Day will be here before we know it I decided to go with a love themed card, which is also perfect for these colors. I pulled out the Pure Innocence Heart Banner stamp by MFT and got to work.

I used a recent sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as my starting point. The card base is Blushing Bride and I used MFT Blueprints 20 to create a panel in Baked Brown Sugar DSP. I then used the Scallop Border Punch to create a strip from Regal Rose DSP and attached that to the back of a Whisper White panel that was embossed with a CB folder. My PI girl was colored with Copics on X-Press paper, cut out and then popped up with dimensionals on the white panel. I used Wink of Stella to add some glitter to the heart banner and the heart in her hair.

Make sure to head over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along with us!

  2. Pretty, Pretty!! I love your combination of the colors, especially the little pop of darker pink in the hearts. Your coloring is divine, my goal this year is to improve my coloring, I SO want to be able to color these images!! And the embossed hearts on the white cardstock is the perfect touch. Hugs xx
