Santa's Workshop for Sunday Stamps

This week at Sunday Stamps we have a sketch and I can't lie, angled panels always throw me for a loop. I think my brain likes nice concise lines and when things get thrown off center my brain has a hard time trying to work with it. I pulled out new goodies from My Favorite Things though and did my best!

I love this new set from MFT called Winter Wonderland and I stamped one of the house images. I thought it was the perfect size for Santa's Workshop so I stamped out the sign in Garden Green (SU) and then cut the sign and the house out with their matching dies (Have you seen the movie The Santa Clause? You know the scene where Santa is headed down the hallway with his crew with  ZZ Top music playing? I totally had that scene stuck in my head while coloring this image!). The house was colored in with Copics.

I took the Stitched Mountain Range dies and created mtns to place behind the house. I mounted them on Night of Navy (SU) card stock and then used dimensionals to pop up the workshop in front of the mtns. I then stamped 2 reindeer on either side of the workshop because what would Santa's Workshop be without reindeer!

The night of Navy panel was backed with some Real Red card stock and then the whole thing was mounted on a Garden Green card base with a layer of MFT Calm and Cozy Chevron paper in green.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along with us!
