Sketchy Marbles for Friday Mashup

It's Friday finally, thank goodness! I'm ready for the weekend and a 3 day work week next week!

Lynda is our hostess this week at The Friday Mashup and she has a fun sketch for us, along with a technique to try out...the Marble Rolling Technique. You'll notice I didn't do the technique on my card but it wasn't for lack of trying! I bought a bag of marbles, grabbed my reinkers and an old stamp case and started rolling away. However I didn't like anything that I came up with, mainly I think because I have all dark or summer colors for my reinkers and it just wasn't working for what I had going on. I really wished I had some white because that would have worked perfectly but alas I don't :( So sorry Lynda, but I did try it!!

For the sketch I used other shapes in place of the circles but I think you can still see the sketch on my card. I just love this Holiday Home set, I keep reaching for it on most of cards. Sometimes I have to say no and remember that I do have other stamp sets :)

I hope you'll come by The Friday Mashup to see what the rest of the design team did with this challenge, and to also play along with us!

  1. I love your take on the sketch, and I personally will never tire of seeing you create with the Holiday Home stamp set! Great details with fussy cutting the trees and the vellum accent. You are such a great card artist, Lisa.
