Gingerbread and Hot Chocolate Dreams

I had 4 days off for the Thanksgiving holiday and I didn't get ANY stamping done that entire time, can you believe it? Time to start making up for that, and I started with this card...

Today's card combines my 2 favorite Christmas challenges, Jingle Belles and Merry Monday. This is the last prompt of the year for BOTH of these blogs. How am I supposed to wait until the New Year for more Christmas challenges ((cries)).

Jingle Belles wants us to create a card with food on it. I went with these gingerbread men and the cup of hot chocolate from the Scentsational Season set. I love sitting down with cookies and a mug of hot chocolate, a Christmas movie on the TV. The sketch is from Merry Monday and I stayed pretty true to it, just omitting one of the background circles. The cookies and cup are all popped up with dimensionals and I added dazzling details to all of them....Cherry Cobbler and clear on the gingerbread men, and just clear on the cup. I know when my daughter gets home from school she'll love that. She tells me every card should have glitter LOL

Make sure you head over to both these blogs and play along one last time for 2012. I know I'll probably go back and use some of their former prompts to keep me going for December :)

  1. Lisa, love what you did with the sketch and I like you am going to have to go back and do some of the earlier sketches to get me through December as I can't imagine a full month without making a Christmas Card or two. Thanks for joining us at Merry Monday.

  2. OK, you've convinced me. I've got to order this bundle! I love the gingerbread men and the steaming cup! I think there'll be challenges that will adapt very well to Christmas cards in December. Maybe we can get a start on next year's cards!
