Bear-ly Squeezing in Paper Players and a Fresh Sketch

Geez, I don't know where the time went but I checked The Paper Players current challenge and realized it would be closing soon. I love masculine cards and so I made sure to set some time aside this afternoon to get a card made for both The Paper Players and the new challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.

I've been all about moose lately thanks to a frequent visitor to my yard but since I read an article in a local paper this morning about the bears at a local conservation center waking up I thought I would use one of my favorite stamp sets today...however instead of using the moose like I normally do I grabbed the bear for today's card. Now that is one thing I have never seen in my yard, a bear. I have found evidence of their visits, bear scat(poop) and scratches on trees, but they have managed to elude my camera, the sneaky buggers!

Head on over to both challenge blogs to check out all the wonderful inspiration from the design teams!

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: Definitively Decorative Pines
Paper: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Watercolor Paper, Woodland Walk DSP
Ink: Garden Green, Early Espresso
Accessories: 1" square punch, twine, Aqua Painter, sponge, dimensionls

  1. That twine is the perfect accent on your card. Such pretty trees and that is a great bear. Glad to see you this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

  2. I adore this! The twine, the pine cones, the bear, the trees - perfect!

  3. I'm a bear freak and this card is great. Reminds me of camping and is a great masculine card.

  9. Perfect take on the sketch and our theme! I love how the bear is walking amongst the trees and the twine is the perfect touch! Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!

  10. Lisa what a fantastic card inspired by the "visitor" in your yard! Wow! Bear are awfuly cute but I'm not brave enough to meet one face-to-face. I really like the detail in the fussy-cut bear and the fun scene you created on this one. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! :)

  11. Wow ... what a great man card ... I love too that bear and your stamped images work so perfectly with the sketch!

  12. Great manly card! The bear looks like he has texture and it looks soft to touch. great coloring!
