Shades of Blue

I'm playing along with this weeks Jingle Belles challenge and its presented by June Houck. If you havent checked out Junes blog before you dont know what you are missing. I always look forward to seeing the cards she comes up with!

June and the Jingle Belles crew want us to make Christmas cards using shades of blue. For me that makes me think of serene and peaceful images. I decided to use Marina Mist and Whisper White...I know its not different shades but its still a blue right?

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise noted):
Stamps: A Beautiful Season, Many Merry Messages(inside sentiment, not shown)
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist
Ink: Marina Mist
Accessories: CB Swiss Dots Folder, Coluzzle, Marina Mist Ribbon, sponge, dimensionals, round corner punch

  1. no need to bring in multiple shades when "marina mist" miiiiiight just be one of the best blues EVER! i love how clean & fresh the combination is of only the two colors... with lots of texture... AND just the right "finishing touches". plus that sentiment really ♥ROCKS♥! well done, you... and it's only friday night!!! :)

  2. Definitely blue and a very pretty shade of blue too, Lisa. You've included the best elements: a great image, embossing, and ribbon :)

  3. Love the peaceful feeling of this design ... you can almost here that deep silence in the middle of a heavy snowfall ... also love the sketchy look of that Santa image ... so glad you joined us at jingle belles.

  4. I agree. such a pretty shade of blue - bright and crisp and festive. Your snowman is adorable and i love the clear embossing on the background paper (mine never looks this good!) I bet you have real snowmen looking this good in the winter, don't you?!? Lovely card.
