Christmas in July for #100

This week the Color Throwdown blog is celebrating its 100th challenge and they are giving away all kinds of goodies! All you have to do is go to their blog, leave comments on the blogs they have listed, and then create a card with this weeks color. Easy peasy!

Here are the colors for this weeks challenge. I couldnt believe it but I had nothing Baja Breeze! I know I didnt care for that color when it was released but I would have thought I'd have ink at least! Oh well, thankfully the Minds Eye PP I used went along perfectly with these colors!

As soon as I saw these colors I knew I wanted to do a Christmas card with the Sweet Holiday set, which is one of my favs. Plus I've only made a few Christmas cards this yr so I thought this was a good way to get back on track! The layout is from this weeks sketch challenge on SCS:

The base of the card is Real Red, with My Minds Eye PP layered on there. I embossed the small strip of red with the Cuttlebug Snow Dots folder and layered that on some Certainly Celery cardstock, finishing it off with some Certainly Celery and Real Red Ribbon. The gingerbread house is popped up with dimensionals and I used silver Stickles on the roof and for the doorknob. The edges of both circles were sponged with Real Red and I also lightly sponged the larger circle with some Regal Rose.

Supplies used(all supplies SU unless otherwise stated):
Stamps: Sweet Holidays
Paper: Real Red, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, My Minds Eye PP
Ink: Black StazOn, Real Red
Accessories: 1 3/4" circle punch, Real Red ribbon, Certainly Celery ribbon, Coluzzle, Snow Dots CB folder, SU markers, sponge, Silver Stickles, Dimensionals
