Thanks and Giving for Sunday Stamps

Oooops, I'm a bit late getting my Sunday Stamps post up! Hubby and I went to Seward Alaska with good friends this past weekend to celebrate my birthday and I forgot to set up the post before I left.

This week at Sunday Stamps we have a color challenge. I decided to use the browns and go monochromatic on my card. I also played along with the sketch over at SugarPea Designs challenge blog.

The sentiment is from SugarPea Designs set Lovely Leaves. I love this sentiment and the font used! I stamped the leaves from the set in a few different browns, cut them out and then popped them up in the corner.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and play along with us! Don't forget to also go check out the challenge over at SugarPea Designs!

A Fun Announcement!

Happy Thursday! I'm excited to announce that for the next 6 months I'll be a guest DT member at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. They are a great shop that offers wonderful digital images to play with along with rubber stamps!

If you've never used digital stamps before trust me, it's super easy! This is actually my first card ever that I created with digital stamps and if I can do it, trust me, you can too :)

This sweet girl is part of a new release coming out today from Little Miss Muffet Stamps! She is part of the Polka Dot Pals collection and you can buy faces to customize your images or you can be like me and just leave it as is!

A friend of mine's husband recently retired from the US Navy and they moved from NJ to Idaho, where they bought a home. She posted a picture on Instagram of some beautiful purple mums that are growing in the yard and that was my inspiration for the coloring of this image. I'm in full on fall mode so I'm all about the darker colors right now (well, ok, when am I not about darker colors LOL, they are my favorite).

Head on over to the Little Miss Muffet Store to pick up this fun image and then head on over to the LMMS challenge blog and play along with the Anything Goes Challenge!

Many Thanks for Sunday Stamps

We've got a great new sketch this week at Sunday Stamps! Autumn is almost over here in Alaska so I decided to go will a fall themed card. My craft room looks out over my backyard so the last few weeks I've been distracted from crafting by watching the leaves fall from the trees!

I used patterned paper from Lawn Fawn along with their Small Stitched Leaves set. I love these leaves, they are so pretty! The colors I used for the leaves were pulled from the patterned paper.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along with us, we'd love to see your interpretation of the sketch!

Beary Happy Birthday

** 15 yrs ago the U.S. experienced the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor. Today I honor and remember the victims in NYC, Shanksville and Washington D.C. We will never forget**

We have a new challenge at Sunday Stamps today and it's a color challenge with bright colors. I decided to make a winter themed birthday card since I had some of these polar bears colored and ready to go!

My layout is from the current MFT sketch challenge. The banner at the top was perfect for a sentiment and also as a way to incorporate some yellow to go along with the bears scarf and hat. I used a SU TIEF to create the falling snow.

I managed to use almost all of the colors in the graphic, but for the challenge you only have to use at least 3. With the presents it was easy for me to incorporate all of them though.

Head on over to the Sunday Stamps blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with and then play along with us, we'd love to see how you interpret this challenge!

Full of Thanks 2

Today's card is pretty similar to the card I posted the other day, I just changed up the layout and color scheme  a tad. It uses the same items as the previous card, other than the Pumpkin Pie CS. Nice and simple and once again, great way to highlight this fantastic sentiment!

Paper: Island Indigo (SU),  Neenah Solar White, Countryside Charm (SPD)

Full of Thanks

SugarPea Designs recently had a new release and as soon as I saw their set Lovely Leaves I knew I had to have it. I'm very picky about fonts and sentiments and I just love the fonts and sentiments in this set, they are perfect for fall cards!

I wanted the sentiment to be the main focal point so I kept the rest of the card simple. I adore plaid and this paper from their Countryside paper pad makes me swoon, I love the green and orange with the touch of blue. That is where I drew the rest of my inspiration for this card.

I Pick You

I'm still alive!! I've been refinishing my kitchen cabinets and that has taken up all my free time when I'm not at work or doing family stuff, and then I spent the long holiday weekend sick with a nasty cold so today is the first time in a long time that I've been able to stamp!

I decided to play along with the theme challenge at The Paper Players. They want to see circles....that can mean a circle card or circle elements on our cards. I decided to go with circle elements. I used circles to create a border  to highlight some fall images, plus you have the scallop border (which are half circles) and then if we want to stretch it maybe the pumpkin as a circle element, kinda sorta? LOL

I've had several of these mouse images sitting here since I colored them for the last 30DayDailyMarker challenge and this was the perfect excuse to use them. I love how the little mouse seems to be looking back at the "I pick you" sentiment.

Make sure you head over to The Paper Players, there is still time to play along with them!
